Project Hope 2010 is finally over, but well not entirely because the toll-lines for the donations are still open until the 28th of November 2010, midnight. Come’on, let’s continue to do our bit for charity and pick those telephones and donate generously. A little goes a long a way and quoted from DJ Denise Tan, “Why stop at once when i can do it again?” (one of the MediaCorp artiste that was part of the telethon for Project Hope 2nd year in a row)
Yes, this is the 2nd time we’re having Project Hope and a collective effort indeed. I feel so humbled upon seeing the different walks of life lending a helping to make this show a successful one in the name of charity.
Through an international language called music, the amazing singers did one thing but convey the message to one all, to help the unfortunate in this time of need. As we try our best to refurbished this victims lives and continue to head on a normal life. Call in and donate alongside a simple prayer for them.
Project Hope 2010, was quite an event because of the time constrain everyone of us were at our wits end doing so. We rushed and burned the midnight oil from production to management to event planning, it wasn’t an easy task but it’s all for a good cause.
The show was fantastic, beyond words could describe.
Yup, that’s most of us during rehearsals as we help to stand in as one of the tele-thon artistes. It was freaking hillarious as try our best to fit into the roles of our “designated” artistes. Well hey, in every work there’s definitely fun that comes along with it yeah? :)
I was standing in for Divian Nair, 987FM DJ. Dang, i’m “Hot”. MUAHAHHAHAHA.
(Thanks Mas for the pics! :))
Here are more pictures that went on after the event/show! Woot woot.
I miss Sylvia Ratonel and we’re glad we’re in this show together :)
And with Gabrielle Ferdinands + Sylvia Ratonel. Damn we were having our own catching up to do during the show haha. Awesome misses.
Alrighty, to end things off, here’s the finale of Project Hope as Taufik Batisah, Sylvia Ratonel, Ayu, Tomok, Petra Sihombing, Angel, Gabrielle Ferdinands, Roberto Fernando and the CLV choir as they belt out the famous hit from the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson - “You Are Not Alone” and the theme song of Project Hope, - “With Hands United”. Don’t stop here, pick up those telephones and donate :)
This time round, the Rentak Cilik team packed their bags and headed down to Negeri Sembilan to celebrate Aidiladha! Yeap, these kiddos including your favourite duo SleeQ (Alyph and Syarif) joined the rest of the team of Najip Ali, Rilla Melati, Fadly Awaludin, Suhaimi Yusoff and the Rentak Cilik team as they celebrate Aidiladha, KAMPUNG STYLE YO!
Definitely the shoot was an eye opener for the cast. I mean com’on we’ve been celebrating technically most of our festivals in the midst of tall boring looking buildings, day in and day out. A little bit of greenery and some domesticated farm animals can do some good haha.
I asked Syarif how was the shoot, in two words he chirped. “Tiring and Memorable”.
I wasn’t there, but i definitely couldn’t agree more with that. I’ve been to villages and such while i was a kid, boyyyyy it was fun despite the modernized society we are brought up with. So being a kampong boy once in a while, can be rather thrilling (and of course suaku). Here are some of the behind the scenes shoot of the show thanks to Miss Nura Abd Manaf of DUAM! :)
So do not forget to tune to Rentak Cilik Aidiladha, 17th November 2010, Wednesday 10am only Singapore’s MediaCorp Suria! Salam Lebaran! :)
I clearly remember last year, when Project Hope was being televised because of the Sumatran national disaster. I was still involved pretty much with Singapore Idol then and we were given this project at the extreme last minute of it all.
When it’s for charity, there was no second thoughts or so despite the hectic schedule we were given but it was all good, to do your bit. Definitely, Project Hope 2009, was quite a memorable for me and together with Idols of 2009 alike. A joint venture together almost 100 artistes for various channels and ethnic groups working hand in hand to lend a helping hand. Whats more, through a music event like this where music is the international language of love.
Here’s a video of last year’s Singapore Idol 2009 performance for Project Hope 2009. Singing, our fellow Asian Idol 2007, Hady Mirza’s winning number, You Gave Me Wings.
This year, Project Hope 2010 is back and definitely for a good cause, to cater to the needs to the recent Mount Merapi, Tsunami of Mentawai and Western Sumatra disasters that just occurred.
The recent tsunami happened on 25 October 2010 in Mentawai, Western Sumatra. The disaster was triggered by a 7.7-magnitude earthquake near a chain of remote islands off western Sumatra. As of now, the official death toll touched 450, with 96 others missing, feared dead. The rescuers have managed to discover 135 persons, found sheltering on high ground and too scared to return to their ravaged villages. However, the immediate efforts are now focused on supplying food and evacuating injured victims of the natural disaster that displaced more than 22,000 persons.
Mount Merapi in Central Java erupted on 26 October 2010, a day after the western Sumatran Tsunami. Nearly 40 people have been killed since Mount Merapi began erupting last week. Last Saturday, 30 October 2010, saw another large eruption. Merapi has had 63 lava bursts and nine small gas emissions to date.To date, more than 53,000 people have been evacuated since the eruptions began last Tuesday.
Project Hope hopes to be part of the ongoing relief efforts being run in Singapore, together with NGO, Mercy Relief and contribute to the rebuilding of lives of these victims.
This year yet again, comprising of various artistes around with performances from Singapore; Taufik Batisah, Sylvia Ratonel, Roberto Fernando and Gabrielle Ferdinands.Friends from Indonesia we have, Angel and Petra Sihombing and from Malaysia we have Tomok and Ayu. Hosted by Khairuddin Saharom and Othelli Edwards
Here are the numbers to call in to donate:
1900 112 5010 for a $10 donation
1900 112 5050 for a $50 donation
1900 112 5100 for a $100 donation
Lines are open from 13th November 2010 until 28th November 2010, midnight.
Let’s work together hand in hand, as we help those in need. With that, i end this post with the theme song for Project Hope, Hands United :)
I managed to catch the repeat of Anugerah Skrin, and without a doubt; thank you Suria for the repeat (like finally heh). The theme that was brought throughout in all the scenes was, Adventure. Funny, it seems as though all the scenes were filmed somewhere forested, can’t they have, i don’t know a scene where it’s rather urbanized?
Here are my two cents worth;
Group 1: Raja Razie, Nissa Bahruddin, Muhammad Dzar and Mariah Mahfar
I’d say, i don’t really get the scene that well because i was wondering, are they in somekind of reality gameshow given with their red envelopes and code words such as “biru” and “merah”. I was quite baffled with the scene itself but i guess what matters most is their acting portrayal.
For first group, i’m particularly impressed with Muhamad Dzar in all. His delivery, and emotions were rather spot on to some point and was convincing that he was playing the innocent evil character. His raged was controllable and not too over the top. As for Raja Razie, his acting was pretty decent and commendable but somehow, i’m worried that given his natural facial expressions, might give the wrong impression. Yes, he delivered his lines, yes he put up quite a fight for the male contestants, but somehow or rather, the stern outlook he portrays can be quite difficult to handle. Say, given roles that requires a softer image, would he be able to carry it out well?
The females, Mariah Mahfar and Nissa Baharuddin did put up a battle of somewhat two bad female characters. Nissa Baharuddin remained somewhat consistent from her last scene two weeks back which is a good thing, but somehow or rather i do hope she’s given a role where less angsty and conniving expressions involved. As for Mariah Mahfar, her acting was pretty good. She was able to control her emotions well and wasn’t as patchy as the previous scene.
In all, the scene was pretty decent. Though editing wise, was a little choppy because transitions of emotions from each character varies widely at times causing the actors/actresses appear angry at one moment, and going extremely furious the next. Well, can’t be blamed since i know there’s a million and one takes to get that perfect shot.
The one who did well in this group: Muhammad Dzar

Group 2: Muhammad Fahmy, Halimah Yahaya and Shahril Kahar
Yet again, the scene settle in some forested area leading to a dilapidated beach. I thought Halimah Yahaya’s role was extemely challenging. Given the fact that her last scene, was ultra minimal. This time round her role was brought to another level. In the scene, she was running away from Shahril Kahar, through the bushes and whatsnot. Impressive, and thrilling much. The sweet girl portrayal she had in her last scene, immediately changed this week with a much aggressive outlook. I thought she did pretty okay, though a little choppy once or twice.
She hurt her leg somehow, i guess it was a sprained cause there wasn’t blood but until Muhammad Fahmy mentioned there was a scar, which made me quite, “HUH?” She carried out the damsel in distress role pretty decent, but could be better. As for Muhammad Fahmy, his role puts a huge question mark on me. Without a doubt, in the beginning, if he was supposed to hide his look as someone with an ulterior motive, he failed terribly. You can tell, his appearance behind the trees, the fast glances the camera took; he can come off rather psychotic. You just know that he’s up to something, i guess that’s quite a bummer because the element of surprise wasn’t there. Which in the end yes, he was some Inspector.
Well, i thought he should have just played the role on how concerned he should be when Halimah ran towards him for help, but it came off rather, how do i say this.. untouchable and cocky. Oh well, as for Shahril Kahar i think he did quite well with his role. His facial expressions were really good, and there’s nothing much for me to say except for the fact when Fahmy defended Shahril at the knifepoint looks rather stiff and awkward.
The one who did well in this group: Shahril Kahar
—-
Group 3: Biwa Mastura, Mohamad Idris and Sakinah Rahim
The last group i thought did really well. The scene was intense and challenging except for the fact, yet again it’s filmed in some ulu-forested area -.-
Though in the beginning the car scene was little off and awkward but as the scene progresses i thought the 3 of them did really well. Mohamad Idris, the hero of the group did way better than his first scene. His expression of concern and aggression when Sakinah was shot did gave out the right vibe and look. Sakinah Rahim, the victim, who was shot during a robbery the 3 conducted, came off like any vulnerable victim, in a daze, lost and in pain. Fantastic i say, though she was looking a little bit radiant for a gun shot victim heh.
Biwa Mastura, who i think improved tremendously from her first scene came off a little bit patchy in the beginning but gradually she did amazing. Her expressions and emotions came off really good on screen as much as how a jealous but concern friend should be. I thought the end of the scene was rather dramatic and convincing when Sakinah died and the other wailed upon her death. Which is oklah, melodramatic but hey it’s adventure afterall.
The thing that made laugh about the scene was that, Sakinah was already shot, bleeding and on the verge of dying, and they’re still fighting about the love triangle they are in. HAHAHA, i swear, if i was in that situation, i’d scream my lungs out, “COM’ON PEOPLE I’M GONNA DIE!! SHOW ME SOME LOVE MANNNNNN!!!”
The one who did well in this group: Muhammad Idris and Biwa Mastura

There you guys, we shall what’s in store for us this Friday for the results! :)
Here’s the video for their voting numbers, vote wisely guys! :)
This entry came in quite late but i guess, eliminations reviews are better late than never since, there’s no time frame to vote after eliminations. Like any other reality shows, when it comes to cutting down the amount of contestants, causes extreme tears and whatsnot especially those who had forge bonds and such.
For group B, the red card was given to, Sarah Anissa and Alfhian. Oh well, yet again i didn’t expect these two at all. They weren’t the worse of the whole lot i guess. Well, 50% public votes and 50% judges. Anything can happen, people of the world; vote wisely.
I do believe, Rilla’s Melati’s advice given that night pretty much stung the contestants to their wits end.
Quoted by Huda Ali, “Pedas tetapi, bernas.”
In regards, of being to caught up with fame and fortune, i guess acting is all about passion. Like any other arts related media, acting is definitely a craft. It’s the passion in you that brings out the role. You don’t mimic the script, you be the script (emotions included).
A little snippet of what happened that night.
Guest artiste for that night was Roze singing her latest single, Harum. I swear she’s like the Amy Winehouse of Singapore minus the druggie attribute of course haha.
Let’s see what’s in store for Group A! and come Friday who are the ones left from the cohort below.
Reality shows can be quite a bitch, especially when someone is given the red card as the group minimises down daily or maybe even weekly. What i went through during Singapore Idol the other time was really quite, how shall i phrase it, “inhumane reality”, the fact that i forged really close relantionships with the contestants made everything even worse.
My advice for contestants participating in such shows is definitely to work on your votes. Market yourself to the extreme, be wary of what you speak or do infront of the camera. Even the slightest idea of humour might come off wrong or worse to say cocky on camera and that guys, your 2 minute of fame portrayed to the entire country will be embedded to minds of the voters. Be very careful, afterall it’s reality.
It’s tough, it really is. The public could only see via television screens, they don’t have the perks of getting to know each and everyone of you personally and come on, you don’t expect to knock on everyone’s door to introduce yourself right? (if you do, i’ll freak out cause that’s kinda psychotic!)
You’ve got to really steer and drive your voters to vote for you like hell (LIKE HELL), market yourself in anyway possible, of course positively!
As for the public, look out for talent. Yes, a pretty face plays a part but also remember what’s the motive of the whole competition. If it’s acting, be sure the fella could act, if it’s singing of course without a doubt, you wouldn’t want a croaking toad to advance right?
Personally,
Reality shows that consists of votings can be quite a pain in the neck. You battle between, talent and always; popularity. You can’t help it, my experience from Singapore Idol makes me sound like a broken record. I’d vote for the entire package that’s for sure. So children of the future *ahem, VOTE WISELY.
Anugerah Skrin result show was rather shocking. The eliminated contestants, Siti Aisyah and Muhammad Nur.
I did rave about Siti Aisyah’s impactful acting, which not only me but many others alike. The votes swayed in many directions i supposed but oh well, a reality show, is afterall still, A REALITY SHOW. Someone’s gotta go. I do believe, Muhammad Nur wasn’t the worse actor of the batch but oh well, like said voting systems can be realllllllyyyyyy a *toot*
The show kicked off with Tengku Adil’s performance as he belts out the song “Cinta Dia” with the Group A contestants paired up and decked with frames. Interesting i say. Huda Ali is back! As much as she still has chicken pox scars right smack on the centre of a forehead, hehe, she did pretty well i say.
This is rather weird, Suzairhe read out the judges comments to the participants before the eliminations. Of course, the dramatic sound beckons, and the cramped up facial expressions of the contestants painted our television screens. I find it ultra weird to have the comments read out only during the result show, because during the show on Tuesday, none of the comments were given or so because the judging were done behind closed doors. I do believe the judges say might give an added advantage for the voters to think about but unfortunately the comments came in last night, after the voting lines are closed.
Fadhlur Rahman dropped by, to i think give behind the scenes sneak peaks as eliminations are going on :)
It’s a half an hour result show, it totally slipped off my mind. I thought it was an hour! Haha but anyhoo, Tengku Adil came back after the short commercial break and sang his latest single, “Mariam”. Which was really really really good (i gave 3 really’s, so trust me aite? heh).
Dum dum dum.
From 12 it went down to 6 and then to 4. Which in the end, the cut was given to Muhammad Nur and Siti Aisyah. AHHH it was really unexpected. Ouh well, a little advice i gave to those two,
“Though the cut had been made but do not fret. I do believe the experience and exposure you gained will pretty much last a lifetime. Unfortunately, i’ve not gotten to know much of the contestants as of yet.
The cut might be brutal, for what it’s worth i didn’t expect it. Never give up, and congratulations for making it through no matter what. Stay positive.”
Let’s see how next week’s Anugerah Skrin for Group B goes! Good luck guys! :)
The ever so famous Suria teen-drama ended in late March. If you don’t know what show i’m talking about, it’s Cinta Ixora. Yes this is another entry way due. Sorry la, better late than never right? Heh.
It’s kinda sad the show has to end within a period of 5 weeks. As old as i am, i do look forward to watch the show every weekend, of course to capture the brother’s acting and the pretty-much-at-times teenage drama that i might have been missing during my juvenile years, well some of the drama that is.
The music video of that show shot up to almost 35,000 viewers within a period of a week. I say, that is quite an achievement. The countless times you tumblr-ians reblogged the song i posted shows how much you guys loved the show aye. Though the show lasted only for 10 episodes, people are still talking about it until now and they leave the dramatic part of the show to it’s last. Especially one particular scene, to me at least.
Yes, there were deaths, fire scenes and much more, as dramatic hoo-haa it sounds i find this particular scene even more dramatic personally. It’s more off a summary of how melodramatic life can be.
For those that watched the show, remember the part where Zana (Shenthy Feliziana) received a letter from Shah Hafiz’s (Herizal) lawyer. Yes, where Shah Hafiz (honestly i have no idea how old is he in the show) died in a tragic accident. I swear, well my jaw didn’t drop, but i just jolted heavily in a, “WHAT THE HELL” moment.
I mean com’on, that’s a little too much for a 17 year old to go through right? As though being an orphan wasn’t tough enough for her. Not forgetting, the death of her friend, Mel (Sarah Aqilah). Plus, the psychotic Kamal (Haizad) who is tormenting her to her wits end. She just came out from the hospital from the fire caused by Kamal, ya i know it seems all catastrophic fiascoes fall on her =/
There she is looking all vulnerable, with that letter in her hands handed by the lawyer; reminiscing the moments they had spent together (no not with the lawyer!). Why don’t go overboard with it, she should just like run out of the house and get bang by a car or something. It is seriously, tormenting to put a 17 year go through all that, but hey, if Zana doesn’t turn out to be a good wise owl when she grows up, i don’t know what will.
HAHA, that wasn’t an entry full of angst, i just feel so bad for 17 year old Zana man, like really do.
Ok that’s done for the dramatic part.
So from 5 girls and 4 guys, it’s down to 3 girls and 2 guys. Zana, Ella, Martina, Farhan and Daniel.
Oh Oh! Though Farhan (Syarif), gave the phrase “moving on” another meaning. He definitely moved on from Badrisya to Martina, rather fast yeah haha. Subtle, of course not portraying a flirtatious character because after all the brother is sort of the hero of the show (in my opinion that is). He comes equipped with a foul mouth at times (when he called Martina a slut well i just summarised it to slut heh), when he’s pissed or upset, but of course staying true to himself, he realises his mistakes and apologise. So yeah.
That’s the end for Cinta Ixora, and so i’ve heard the ratings are quite high; maybe there’s a season 2? You’d never know. Kudo’s to the cast and team :)
See ya’ll in another entry! Which is coming up shortly hurr.
“Cinta Ixora” had been going on for 4 episodes now. I know!, it’s that fast isn’t it. See, the issue with having back to back shows on two consecutive days, makes the show goes by even faster than you can think off and the next thing you know; IT’S OVER. The good thing is that, you don’t really have to wait long for the next episode to air that much.
Honestly, i have no clue what the hell does “Cinta Ixora” means. Do enlighten me anyone, if you do alright?
Anyhooo,
The show is pretty much a teen flick that revolves around 5 girls and 4 boys. Impressive much? I think it’s the current generation of “Bara”. Boy love girl, girl love boy, yada yada yada. Cliche much yeah but try to recall, when was the last time Suria had a teen flick? They’ve had Bubble Boys and Dikir Putri; well any show that still dons the ever so fashionable school uniform is considered way premature for a teen flick. Well, it might be a good family show; but hey, the characters of such shows are no where near of owning a car or a bike license. Let alone their own Prada! Heh.
“Cinta Ixora”, so the acting is pretty much so so, not all are fantastic but to mention some; Sarah Aqilah, Shenthy Feliziana and Syarif are given the thumbs by thyself. I’m not being biased just because i’m close with Syarif but it’s pretty much true, ask around. There are the “veterans” in the show that of course, brings the show to another level with their acting skills.
Well like, “Meteor Garden”, “Boys Over Flowers” (did i get the title right??), this show revolves around mainly the 5 girls below. Each and everyone with a distinct character of their own.
The show consists of teenage love affairs (i almost broke out singing that song), family matters and tertiary life. It’s interesting on how the characters came together. I was surprised that the sensitive issue of homosexuality came about in the show. Well, at least that made the show current. I won’t elaborate much about the storyline cause i wouldn’t want to burst your bubble, so you got to watch the show every weekend yeah! Heh.
Apparently this show got almost the entire virtual world (twitter and blogs) talking. By youngster nowadays though, raving and ranting about the show. The cast is pretty much good looking, i know it’s superficial but hey, this is where the marketing factor plays a part. Faizal Isa, Syarif Sleeq and Haizad Imram make the girls go gaga everytime they appear on screen. I swear, i can hear squeals and giggles through my god damn concrete wall everytime these guys come on. Oh well, the girls on the show are a bunch of lookers as well! Well, personally, i wouldn’t say i’m a huge die hard fan of the show but i enjoy watching it because it made me reminisce those good old teenage days. Puppy love, com’on let’s all go “awwww”.
Anyway, below are pictures of them taken during Suria Elektra and Suria Fiesta. Photo credits belong to the respective owners.
I told you the cast is pretty much a LOOKER lol.
BY THE WAY; a little note: Shenthy Feliziana aka Zana, does not wear the scarf in real life. Do not misjudge or change your views about this girl. She is just carrying out a role but i believe she’s really a nice and sweet girl in person, pretty much how she portrays her character in the show :)
The show for once, made me feel young.
Well, i’m 24, i know it’s not that old but hey, you’re only a teenager once so watching such teen flicks makes the heart and mind all fuzzy once again. Like how “You Belong To Me” - Taylor Swift’s music video does to me.
Yes, i’m a discreet Taylor Swift fan ok. ANYWAYYYYYYY,
Hey, i’m not a critique whatsoever. I give a light overview of what i may think of a show. I’m sorry, if you’re looking for in depth details and information; pure hard concrete critiques but i’m not that kind. I would like to keep things light and breezy alright. I know my market readers are the youths of these days so, i’ll make things colourful, pretty and maybe witty. Plus, i’m all about the local media scene, what comes by me; i’ll blog it!
PLUS HEY, i’m close to most of the celebs; you guys dig those behind the scenes, unglam footages and all right!? HAHAHAHA.
ANYWAY, here’s the plugin for Cinta Ixora. Don’t forget to watch it alright! (making the poster below almost killed me, freezing and print-screening the video to capture the perfect shots of the casts are just, mind boggling and insane. Well, it’s not an official and perfect poster, but i hope it helps!)
Cinta Ixora’s music video. The song is composed by Alyph Sleeq, sung by Syarif Sleeq and Faiza Isa. It’s a pretty good music video, without a doubt the show, is pretty on the rise :)
Also not forgetting, this coming Sunday, 28th February 2010 right before Cinta Ixora, is the episde of Testimoni where the brother will be appearing! Remember, the one i told you i was part of the filming as well?
A teeny weeny part, it’s barely there la, but watch for it this coming Sunday aye!
It’s all about smoking, the pressure and how to get out of it. Real life testimony of youngster nowadays. An excellent docu-drama on how these celebrity goes through their “mid life” crisis of these days.
I doubt so, it’s more off peer pressure and the agony woes of youngsters.
Catch the show alright! 9pm, 28th February, Suria! Here’s the trailer below :]
Hello world, how you people on the African side doin’ yo? And the Alaskans?
Anyway,
I’m doing pretty fine today, again had meetings and random whatsnot in the day. Oh the blazing hot day. The distance i walked from the National Library earlier to Sunshine Plaza costed a trillion buckets of perspiration and maybe a liquidified part of myself. Well, the sun had always been the biggest bitch only when it’s scorching hot! Heh.
This was rather random, i was having a meeting at Wilkie Edge Starbucks earlier after printing my namecards. While the meeting was going on, hoping that it would end quickly because i need to rush off to Mediacorp for a media conference; the speakers at Starbucks were blasting uplifting new age and a little bit of Corrine Bailey Rae melodies. Out of the blue, a familiar tune broke the serenity of what it’s supposed to be.
It’s not a bad thing at all, the speakers blasted Moviestar - Sleeq.
Yeap, i was relatively stunned. Not because of the song, but more of the transition and the randominity(is there even such a word??) of it. I chuckled infront of my client for abit, but thank god she didn’t notice and i immediately (discreetly as well) texted Alif and Syarif about.
Doh.
Syarif doesn’t even understand what i’m talking about. Ouh well, meeting ended and i tried to hail a cab but these bugger China men (no offence to foreign talent) stole my cab. Which made me scream at the top of my lungs. GAH.
!#@$%^&%@#
Thank god there was another cab that came by soon after, but apparently drove like 15km per hour. I swore my hair grew an inch longer by the time i arrived at Mediacorp.
—————————
It’s been a while since i ventured myself into the world of media eversince Singapore Idol ended. Thanks to the kind people of Mediacorp Suria, i was given another opportunity this time. It feels like day one on Idol, where i don’t really know much people yet again because it’s a different production team this time. There were familiar faces that recognises me as the Idol blogger haha. No fret, i hope i did my networking well and thank god i printed my namecards! Though sometimes throughout the conference i was busy twitting to update you guys at home heh.

I’d elaborate more another time about the amazing talent that we have and a little summary of the conference later because i’m dead tired right now cause i’ve been working on alot stuff on the laptop lately and it’s 330am. Before i go off, as usual when i’m invited to an event; my signature “Behind The Scenes” video will definitely be the highlight for all of my readers.
Without failing you guys, here you go! GOO’ NIGHT/MORNING!
So it has been a pretty hectic couple of days; last night i slept at 11pm and woke up at 330am just because i had work to do. I could have stayed the night and sleep late but was in a state of melancholic exhaustion that began to see flying pigs or either that, i’m flying high.
Now that’s much of an exaggeration.
Anyway,
Here are some media plugins.
I was invited down by Mediacorp to attend a media conference for the first ever Anugerahitz.sg. later in the day. I am pretty psyched for the event! Anugerahitz.sgis a first collaborative effort between MediaCorp Suria, Warna and Ria, and Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS) to honour the best in the local Malay music industry.
This inaugral awards show will be presenting a total of 10 award categories and a special “Lifetime Music Achievement” award. It aims to recognise recording artistes, composers, lyricists and album producers who have excelled in the music field. An interactive element will also be integrated where Suria viewers and Warna and Ria radio listeners will have the chance to decide and vote for their favourite songs and artistes through the “Most Popular Song” and “Most Popular Artiste” categories.
Nominations are open to singles, EPs or albums that were released in Singapore from 1Jan 09 – 31 Dec 09.
Hosted by a friend of mine (we go way back literally from our Primary to Secondary to even Poly days haha) Fauzie Laily and Fiza ‘O’. The 2 hour award show will be telecast live on Saturday, 3rd April 2010 at 830pm on Mediacorp channel, Suria.
I know the brother submitted his nomination form sometime back, so i do pray hard his duo gets nominated and if they do, Sleeq FOR THE WIN THEN! HAHAHAHA.
An event organised by the regionally famous SELEBRITI magazine (http://www.selebriti.sg) in lieu of their 2nd Anniversary.

It’s a high-tea event with a string of well acclaimed celebrities regionally invited down to perform and grace the event. I was invited down by SELEBRITI magazine to attend the event as well but as media heh, so if i do have fans holler me there! (like whatever izked -.-)
Singapore Idol finalist, Faizal Isa (i can hear all the girls piercing screams*) will make his appearance there as well maybe belting out a couple of songs. Not forgetting our Asian Idol - Hady Mirza, Anugerah 2005 winner - Hyrul Anuar, Revalina, Anugerah 2001 winner - Eka Mairina, local R&B duo - Sleeq, etc (you can see it from the poster) will entertain the likes of you fans!
