Rapsodi Fiesta 2010!
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of collaborations between Singapore & Brunei Darussalam
Singapore, 1 December 2010 – It’s time once again for MediaCorp Suria and Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) to collaborate in its annual celebration of song and dance. The concert will be shown “LIVE” on Friday, 3rd December 2010 at 8.30pm from Jerudong Park Amphitheatre, Brunei Darussalam. Audiences will be in for a visual treat with dazzling performances by popular artistes from Singapore and Brunei.
Befitting the 20th anniversary of bilateral collaborations, the concert promises spectacular performances by artistes from both countries. Hosted by Singaporean Huda Ali and Bruneian Fakhrul Razi, Rapsodi Fiesta! will feature an impressive line-up including Hady Mirza (Asian Idol Winner), Kunjung (Anugerah runner-up), Sylvia Ratonel (Singapore Idol runner-up), Revalina (anugeraHitz.sg Best New Pop Duo/Group) and Rahimah Rahim (Singapore’s Iconic Singer, Entertainer and AnugeraHitz.sg Lifetime Achievement Award. They will be partnered with Bruneian’s Zul F (Most Popular Male Artiste 2009), Hasrina, AJ, Fiq, popular boyband, EM4 and many more.
Rapsodi - Fiesta will also be simulcast “LIVE” on MediaCorp’s Ria 897FM, which is also celebrating the station’s 20th Anniversary.
The concert will be graced by Mr Lui Tuck Yew, Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, Singapore and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Wahab Bin Juned, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Brunei Darussalam.
Rapsodi is one of the four annual television co-productions that come under the Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Co-operation in the Field of Broadcasting between Singapore and Brunei Darussalam which includes Xpedisi Siswa, Bridging Minds and Drama.
This concert event has proven to be a successful annual showcase of talents from both Singapore and Brunei Darussalam, entertaining audiences while promoting good relations between the two countries.
